Agricultural products worth almost Br2.1 billion produced in Vitebsk region in 9 months

October 19, Vitebsk. In the Vitebsk region in January-September, agricultural production at current prices amounted to about Br2.1 billion, BelTA learned from the main statistical department of the Vitebsk region.

Compared to the same period in 2020, the production of agricultural products in farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, personal subsidiary plots of the population) decreased and amounted to 91.5% of the last year's figure in comparable prices. The agricultural organizations of the region account for the largest volume of production. They produced products worth more than Br1.7 billion. In comparable prices, the indicator for the three quarters of this year also decreased and amounted to 91.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2020.

Farms of all categories produced in 9 months: 181 thousand tons of livestock and poultry, more than 606 thousand tons of MILK, about 357 million eggs. Agricultural organizations also account for the largest volume of livestock and poultry production. In the state agricultural sector, its share was 97.2% of the total production. Agricultural organizations also produced 93.2% of milk and 83.8% of eggs of the total volume.

As of October 1, there were more than 527 thousand heads of cattle in the agricultural organizations of the region, including over 187 thousand heads of cows. The number of pigs was about 402 thousand heads.
