Participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021, which is scheduled for June 2-5, may be allowed if there is a negative PCR test for CORONAVIRUS. Valery Moskalenko, HEAD of the committee on economic policy of St. Petersburg, told Fontanka about this after a meeting of the organizing committee of the forum.
“Most likely, [the requirement for participants] will be a certificate of a negative PCR test, and the possibility of express testing at the time of registration will also be provided,” the source said. The issue of recognition of vaccination certificates was not discussed. But the exact criteria for admitting guests will be known after the release of the relevant instructions from Rospotrebnadzor, he said.
Moskalenko also clarified that the organizers have not yet discussed the exact number of participants in the event. “The procedure for arrival and participation in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological measures will be synchronized with the situation that will be in the city at that time,” he explained.

SPIEF 2021 will be held in person Society
Last year, the forum was postponed due to the aggravation of the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection.
On March 16, 2021, a representative of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov announced that SPIEF 2021 will be held on June 2–5 in person at the Expoforum exhibition center.
The Roscongress Foundation, which is the organizer of the forum, explained that the decision was made on the basis of expert opinion. They believe that the world is “at a post-pandemic turning point,” and universal vaccination and the formation of herd immunity make it possible to “stabilize the epidemiological situation.” Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin is expected to personally attend SPIEF.
