More than 9 million tests for coronavirus conducted in Russia

In RUSSIA, as of May 27, more than 9.4 million laboratory tests for CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 were conducted , according to the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

According to the Russian operational headquarters for combating the spread of COVID-19, 255,000 tests have been performed over the past day. Russia has taken second place in the world in terms of the total number of tests for the presence of a new coronavirus.

In terms of the number of tests performed per 100,000 people, the first place in Russia is occupied by the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (18,891), followed by the Sakhalin Region (18,270), Moscow (18,134), Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (14,413), St. Petersburg (13,694).

In terms of the absolute number of studies conducted, Moscow leads (2.2 million people), followed by St. Petersburg (732.7 thousand), Moscow Region (496.9 thousand), Sverdlovsk Region (248.7 thousand), Krasnodar Territory (232.7 thousand).

In total, as of May 27, the total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Russia exceeded 370.6 thousand people, of which 8338 people were detected over the past day. 3968 people died.
