
June 12, MINSK. Condensed MILK and onions went up in price in May, cucumbers and garlic became cheaper, BelTA informs citing the data of the National Statistical Committee.
Cucumbers fell in price by 47.91%, garlic - by 21.02%, tomatoes - by 16.69%, pears - by 14.13%, apples - by 12.78%, sweet peppers - by 10.92%, grapes - by 10.79%, cabbage - by 10.5%.In turn, condensed milk rose in price by 11.16%, onion - 8.99%, corn flakes - 8.54%, vegetable oil - by 7.21%, halva - 6.48%, margarine - by 5.76 %, potatoes - by 5.15%.
In general, vegetables became cheaper by 14.48%, fruits - by 5.36%. Milk and dairy products went up by 1.92%, MEAT and meat products - by 1.51%, bread and bakery products - by 4%, cereals and legumes - by 4.21%, fish and fish products - by 1.66%.
Lunches in the canteen went up by 2.39%, in restaurants and cafes - by 1.76%, fast food - by 1.15%.
Tobacco products rose in price by 0.23%, alcoholic beverages - by 3.28%.
Non-food products in May became more expensive by 0.97%. Clothes went up by 0.34%, furniture - by 0.51%, carpets went up by 1.62%, textiles - by 2.07%, building materials - by 1.11%, medicines - by 0.63%. Shoes became cheaper by 0.31%.
The cost of services decreased by 0.16%. In May, housing and communal services rose in price by 0.04%, hotel services - by 0.73%, photo studios - by 2.02%, HEALTH resorts - by 2.59%, dry cleaning of outerwear - by 3.07%, watch repair - by 4.15%.
Passenger transport services became cheaper (3.63%), in particular, international traffic - by 9.42%, air traffic - by 6.71%, railway traffic - by 5.8%. Painting works (0.99%), tiling (1.02%), travel services (0.29%), insurance services (4.67%) also fell in price.
As reported, inflation in Belarus in May amounted to 0.7%.
