A decrease in the supply of MILK is observed in Kyrgyzstan due to an increase in feed prices. This was stated by the HEAD of the Dairy Chamber Nurbek Dzhyrgalbaev.

In turn, milk processing plants face downtime due to a shortage of raw milk. However, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan continues to insist that there is no shortage of milk.

According to Nurbek Dzhyrgalbaev, there are indeed problems with the supply of raw materials for factories, and serious ones. Dairy cows are reported to be slaughtered on the farms. The population also cannot feed the livestock and puts it under the knife.

The lack of milk is already clearly felt, and this is only the beginning, the 24.kg edition notes, dry food will still rise in price by spring. “The cost of hay already reaches 400-450 soms per bale. It will be very difficult for farmers to keep their cows, and dairies will have a hard time. Last year, for example, deliveries reached 25 tons of products, this year we barely reach 15 tons. If the feed had been laid in advance, from the beginning of autumn, there would be no problems today. I have been saying for several years what measures should be taken, but for some reason there is no reaction. We have laid only 1.5 thousand tons of succulent fodder, we will be able to save 500-600 heads of livestock, but this is not enough. It is necessary to start training farmers so that they make succulent feed on SUGAR sourdough. They are more high-calorie than dry hay,” said Nurbek Dzhyrgalbaev.

Currently, more than 20 large dairy plants operate in Kyrgyzstan. Dairy production is also carried out by small producers - private farmers, who so far have no problems with the supply of raw milk. The demand in the country for dairy products in 2021 will amount to 889.3 thousand tons of milk and dairy products.
