Last week, five tiny hedgehogs arrived at the zoo. Their hedgehog mother died, and the completely helpless babies were brought to the zoo.

They were blind and weighed only 80 g. Specialists began painstaking work to save the babies. Every three hours they were fed goat MILK from the zoo's goat, Powder. And since feeding should not have been interrupted at night, the veterinary service staff took turns taking the hedgehogs home.

Within a week, the prickly pets had eaten up and gained significant weight. Two days ago their eyes opened and their teeth began to cut.

Now complementary foods are gradually being introduced into the diet of babies: quail eggs , scraped MEAT ,insects . Later, all five will move to a larger cage, because growing hedgehogs need to move more to expend energy.
