March 11, MINSK. Cucumbers and bananas became more expensive in February, while citrus fruits fell in price, BelTA informs citing data from the National Statistical Committee.

Cucumbers went up by 21.57%, bananas - by 20.92%, potatoes - by 11.69%, carrots - by 10.7%, beets - by 10.57%, onions - by 8.82%, cabbage white cabbage - by 8.08%, pepper - by 7.14%, grapes - by 5.11%, apples - by 3.04%. Citrus fruits became cheaper by 4.08%.

In general, vegetables became more expensive by 10.17%, fruits - by 5.34%. MEAT and meat products went up by 0.96%, MILK and dairy products - by 1.03%, bread and bakery products - by 1.12%. Fish and fish products became more expensive by 1.62%.

Lunches in the canteen became more expensive by 2.61%. In restaurants and cafes, they rose in price by 1.19%, fast food - by 1.2%.

Tobacco products rose in price by 0.33%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.46%.

Non-food products in February became more expensive by 1.11%. Clothes went up by 0.72%. Shoes fell in price by 1.01%. Furniture decreased in price by 1.13%, electrical goods - by 0.05%. Building materials grew by 0.91%, medicines - by 5.11%.

The cost of services increased by 3.36%. In February, housing and communal services (by 8.64%), preschool institutions (by 10.16%), and tourist services (by 5.6%) rose in price. Sanatorium and HEALTH services became cheaper (by 0.65%) and railway transport (by 0.11%).

As reported, inflation in Belarus in February amounted to 1.9%.
