Cucumbers and cabbage went up in price in December, salmon caviar and herring fell in price

January 12, MINSK. Cucumbers and cabbage became more expensive in December, salmon caviar and herring fell in price, BelTA informs citing the data of the National Statistical Committee.

Prices for fresh cucumbers rose by 33.43%, fresh white cabbage - by 24.46%, grapes - by 19.41%, sweet peppers - by 15.52%, fresh tomatoes - by 11.8%. Salmon caviar fell in price by 4.4%, salted herring - by 2.73%, ice cream - by 2.55%.

In general, vegetables became more expensive by 16.24%, fruits - by 4.39%. MILK and dairy products rose in price by 0.48%, MEAT and meat products - by 0.83%, bread and bakery products - by 0.44%, fish and fish products fell in price by 0.04%.

Lunches in the canteen went up by 1.95%, in restaurants and cafes - by 1.08%, fast food - by 1.15%.

Tobacco products rose in price by 0.48%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.04%.

Non-food products in December became more expensive by 0.27%. Clothes became cheaper by 0.7%, shoes - by 1.02%. Furniture fell in price by 0.01%, carpet products rose in price by 1.47%, building materials - by 0.48%. Medicines fell in price by 0.03%.

The cost of services increased by 0.92%. In December, ritual services rose in price by 9.05%, tourist services - by 8.38%, international railway transport - by 6.25%, HEALTH resorts - by 3.41%, household services - by 2.2%. Theater services fell in price by 1.02%, hotels - by 0.36%.

As reported, inflation in Belarus in December amounted to 0.9%.
