An inspection of a private retailer revealed dangerous products. Specifically, the roasted macadamia nuts, sweetened with milk flavor and packaged in 5 kg polymer packaging, manufactured in China, did not comply with the requirements of the Customs Union's technical regulations TR CU 021/2011 "On Food Safety" and TR CU 029/2012 "Safety Requirements for Food Additives, Flavorings, and Technological Aids." The nuts were found to contain sweeteners - cyclamate acid and its salts sodium and calcium cyclamates (E952), acesulfame potassium (E950) and erythritol (E968), which are indicated on the label, but are prohibited for use in the production of such products.
The State Standard has banned the import and sale of these products within the country.
