30 January, Brest. In Brest Oblast, 45 livestock facilities will be built in 2025. This was announced by First Deputy Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Dmitry Gorodetsky during a meeting of the regional executive committee, which reviewed the results of the region's socio-economic development in

Thanks to the modernization that has been carried out and is ongoing, Brest residents set the goal of increasing the number of dairy cows to 300 thousand heads and producing at least 2.4 million tons of
MILK this year. Construction (reconstruction) of 45 livestock facilities will be carried out, including 30 dairy farms.
it is also planned to reach the production of at least 344.5 thousand tons of
MEAT. In particular, in the southwestern region, they will be engaged in restoring the pig population at complexes in the Pruzhany, Berezovsky and Pinsk districts. "In addition,
work is underway to begin implementing a project to build a complex for 100 thousand heads," said Dmitry Gorodetsky.
In the Brest region, they also aim to increase poultry production in 2025. "In 2024, eight buildings were reconstructed at the Belye Luga site of the Druzhba poultry farm (in the Baranovichi District. - BELTA note) to house broilers. Additional seating was introduced. About 2.8 thousand tons of additional poultry meat have already been received. This year, it is planned to continue the reconstruction of ten more buildings, which will increase the livestock by 370 thousand, and plus 3.5 thousand tons of poultry meat," added the first deputy chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
No less ambitious goals are outlined in crop production. Thus, farmers will strive to get a heavier harvest of grain and rapeseed.
