Almost a quarter of the republican volume of livestock products is produced in the Brest region. The region provides 30% of the EXPORT of dairy and MEAT products. "The main livestock sector in the region is dairy cattle breeding. In recent years, the growth in gross milk production has been annually provided at the level of 2.5-4.5%. To transfer dairy cattle to modern keeping technologies, 67 livestock breeding facilities are planned to be built or reconstructed in the region. Last year, 38 dairy farms were put into operation in the region.
Chairman of the State Control Committee Vasily Gerasimov stressed that the success of the Brest region in milk production is known throughout the country. He asked about the region's plan for the future processing of these products. "Conditionally, in the next five years, RUSSIA will provide itself with milk. Accordingly, we should already look at those export products that we will supply to certain markets," the KGC chairman noted .
