Agricultural products worth Br14.3 billion produced in Belarus in January-August

September 15, MINSK. Agricultural production in January-August in farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, households) amounted to Br14.3 billion, or 95.4% in comparable prices compared to the corresponding period of 2020, BelTA learned from the National statistics committee.

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br13 billion, or 95.1% in comparable prices compared to the same period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories produced 1.2 million tons of livestock and poultry, almost 5.3 million tons of MILK, 2.3 billion eggs. Agricultural organizations account for 96.5% of livestock and poultry production in live weight, 97% of milk and 82.9% of eggs.

As of September 1, 2021, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.5 million.
