MINSK . In Belarus, in 2023, the number of districts and farms with a
MILK yield per cow of more than 7 thousand kg was increased. He announced this at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food on the results of the work of the agro-industrial complex for 2023 and setting goals for
2024.

“In dairy cattle breeding, high results over the past year were obtained in the Brest and Minsk regions. Milk yield there exceeded 2 million tons. The average milk yield per cow in the Brest region was 7268 kg, Grodno - 7094 kg, Minsk - 6562 kg,” said Sergei Bartosh. He added that in 2023, the number of districts and farms with a productivity of more than 7 thousand kg per cow has been increased throughout the republic. If in 2022 there were 14 such districts, then in 2023 there were 23. “The leader among districts in terms of dairy herd productivity is the Grodno district, which is close to 10 tons of milk per cow, over 9 tons in the Berestovitsky and Nesvizh districts, more than 8 tons - in seven more regions of Belarus, - the minister emphasized. - The highest result in milk herd productivity was obtained in the Larinovka agricultural production complex. Milk yield of more than 12 tons was obtained in four more organizations. At the same time, there are areas where the productivity of the milk herd did not exceed 2 thousand kg".
Sergei Bartosh noted that in the Brest region, dairy complexes house 86% of the total livestock, and in the Grodno region - 81%. At the same time, in the Vitebsk region only 34%. “The Vitebsk region needs to catch up: there are opportunities, but we are lagging behind in construction,” he emphasized.
