September 12, MINSK. Coffee and citrus fruits became more expensive in August, while tomatoes and carrots became cheaper, BelTA informs citing the data of the National Statistical Committee.
Tomatoes fell in price by 48.12%, carrots - by 46.8%, potatoes - by 37.28%, fresh white cabbage - by 36.58%, beets - by 34.94%, cucumbers - by 34.18%, sweet pepper - by 27.38%, grapes - by 21.49%, onions - by 20.09%, bananas - by 12.14%, garlic - by 11.77%, pears - by 9.58%, apples - by 4.42%.In turn, coffee rose in price - by 4.17%, ketchup - by 5.05%, semolina - by 5.03%, citrus fruits - by 3.97%, yogurt - by 3.77%, cheese - by 3, 31%, ice cream - by 3.1%, mustard - by 3.1%, mayonnaise - by 2.43%, baking soda - by 2.42%, halva - by 2.41%, crab sticks - by 2, 3%, oatmeal - by 2%, gingerbread - by 1.89%.
In general, vegetables became cheaper by 34.06%, fruits - by 7.71%. MILK and dairy products went up by 1.92%, MEAT and meat products - by 1.39%, bread and bakery products - by 1.53%, cereals and legumes - by 0.79%, fish and fish products - by 0.83 %.
Lunches in the canteen fell in price by 2.55%, in restaurants and cafes - by 0.59%. Fast food has risen in price by 1.66%.
Tobacco products rose in price by 0.76%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.47%.
Non-food products in August became more expensive by 0.85%. Clothes rose in price by 1.07%, household goods - by 1.25%, written goods, stationery - by 1.24%, perfumery and cosmetics - by 3.13%, haberdashery - by 1.04%, carpet products - by 0.31%, textiles - by 1.31%, footwear - by 0.56%, furniture - by 0.16%.
The cost of services increased by 0.3%. Hotel services rose in price by 3.96%, culture - by 1.91%, physical culture and sports - by 1.98%, education - by 0.46%.
Passenger transport services became more expensive (by 1.79%).
As reported, inflation in Belarus in August amounted to 0.1%.
