
September 12, MINSK. In August, prices for beets and carrots fell, and railway transport services rose in price, BelTA informs citing data from the National Statistical Committee.
Beets fell in price by 47.46%, carrots - by 39.04%, sweet peppers - by 23.66%, grapes - by 22.85%, fresh tomatoes - by 22.48%, bananas - by 15.2%, potatoes - by 13.66%, onions - by 8%. Garlic rose in price by 7.94%, citrus fruits - by 6.83%, OLIVE OIL - by 4.17%, fresh white cabbage - by 3.98%, stew (pork set) - by 3.87%, boneless pork - by 3.08%, sour cream - by 3.09%.
In general, vegetables became cheaper by 15.86%, fruits - by 4.82%. MILK and dairy products went up by 2.36%, MEAT and meat products - by 1.39%, fish and fish products - by 0.1%. Bread and bakery products fell in price by 0.4%.
Lunches in the canteen became cheaper by 1.31%, in restaurants and cafes - by 0.36%. Fast food rose in price by 0.22%.
Tobacco products rose in price by 1.97%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.8%.
Non-food products in August became more expensive by 0.68%. Clothes went up in price by 0.63%, shoes - by 1.22%. Furniture became more expensive by 1.52%, carpet products - 1.11%, building materials - 1.79%, medicines - 0.3%.
The cost of services increased by 0.06%. In August, the price of railway communication services went up: interregional - by 13.58%, regional economy class - by 9.19%, international - by 0.85%. Passenger transportation services in a taxi car became cheaper (by 3.09%), HEALTH resorts (by 1.99%), and tourist services (by 1.7%).
As reported, inflation in Belarus in August amounted to 0.2%.
