May 13, Minsk. Prices for carrots and tomatoes rose in April, while prices for garlic and apples fell, BelTA informs citing data from the National Statistical Committee.

Carrots went up by 12.36%, tomatoes - 11.47%, beets - 8.93%, cucumbers - 8.71%, potatoes - 6.23%, peppers - 6.03%, grapes - 5.4%. Garlic became cheaper by 1.78%, apples - by 1.25%.

In general, vegetables became more expensive by 7.26%, fruits - by 1.56%. Meat and meat products rose in price by 0.69%, milk and dairy products - by 0.33%. Bread and bakery products became more expensive by 0.21%, fish and fish products - by 0.68%.

Lunches in the canteen became more expensive by 1.49%. In restaurants and cafes, they rose in price by 0.72%, fast food - by 1.02%.

Tobacco products rose in price by 0.22%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.03%.

Non-food products in April became more expensive by 0.81%. Clothes went up by 0.37%, shoes - by 0.78%, furniture - by 1.29%, electrical goods - by 0.4%, building materials - by 1.54%, medicines - by 0.91%.

The cost of services increased by 0.4%. In April, tourist services (by 5.62%), veterinary services (by 4.44%), hairdressing services (by 2.96%), hotels (by 2.22%), repair of residential premises (by 2.19%) rose in price. ), manicure (1.87%), tailoring (by 1.74%). Funeral services became cheaper (by 5.65%), passenger transport services (by 0.05%), hostels (by 0.04%).

As reported, inflation in Belarus in April amounted to 0.7%.
