November 1, Minsk . One of Belarus's most significant socioeconomic achievements since the establishment of the presidency is the country's ability to provide itself with more than 100% of essential food products, the Economy Ministry's press service told BELTA.

"Between 1995 and 2023, Belarus increased milk and meat production by 1.5 times, grain by 25.8%, and sugar beet by 4.5 times. In agricultural organizations, the average milk yield per cow increased by 2.4 times to 5,854 kg, grain yield by 1.45 times to 33.5 c/ha, and sugar beet yield by 2.5 times to 479 c/ha. Belarus has achieved the highest level of food self-sufficiency in the EAEU – 96%. This level is significantly higher for certain product groups: for example, for dairy products it is 283%, meat – 134.9%, eggs – 123.2%, and potatoes – 110.8%.
