On January 27, 2020 the
ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Directorate of the Bryansk and Smolensk regions suspended the movement of frozen beef in the halves of the production of Lelchitsy and Rogachevsk branches of the Gomel regional consumer society, the Republic of Belarus, at the "Krasny Kamen" PPU on the M-13 "Bryansk-Gomel" motorway.
The cargo with total weight of 20 tons was transported to the address of the recipient from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
However, in the course of product control, inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate found illegible veterinary stamps on the halves of the carcasses. Besides, the
MEAT itself was in unsatisfactory sanitary condition, had contamination and was poorly exsanguinated.
At the same time, the cargo was accompanied by veterinary certificates BY №03-00241239 from 22.01.2020, issued by Lelchitsy District Veterinary Station, and BY №03-00295545 from 23.01.2020, issued by Rogachevsk District Veterinary Station, which were to confirm compliance with all applicable requirements.
Since the established facts testify to insufficient veterinary control when sending cargoes, as well as to violation of the current requirements when importing meat and other food meat raw materials into the customs territory of the EAEC and their movement between the EAEC member states, the beef was returned to the Belarusian sender.
