According to the first deputy, mass grain harvesting will begin in the Mogilev region next week - first of all with winter rye and triticale, then winter wheat and all other spring crops will come. “The wealth of each country depends on the reserves of bread,” Anatoly Ulasevich emphasized. “And the food security of the state first of all refers to bread, and then to livestock products - butter, MILK, and so on. Today we not only produce a large amount of MEAT and dairy products, but also sell outside the country, for EXPORT. Volumes are rather big - $ 4.5 billion. It cannot be compared with the 90s, when there was simply no wheat of our own, it was purchased from Kazakhstan and a number of Russian regions. Today we produce our own product, and the country is 100% provided with its own food grain."

This year, the Mogilev region needs to supply 125.8 thousand tons of food grain to the country's bins, including 12 thousand tons of malting barley, 5.8 thousand tons of buckwheat, 1.6 thousand tons of millet, almost 8 thousand tons of grain. tons of food barley. "We feed our people ourselves, the country is provided with its feed grain, - said Anatoly Ulasevich. - And this year the weather conditions are favorable: the harvest is predicted to be much higher than last year's level."

The head noted that today's control meeting showed how farms and regions prepared for grain harvesting. Based on its results, certain organizational conclusions were made, disciplinary sanctions were applied to some chairmen of district executive committees, heads of agricultural departments, and even ordinary heads of agricultural enterprises.
