November 26, Minsk. Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Turchin today inspected the construction of a dairy farm for 1,000 heads of the main herd of the Logoisky agricultural complex of the branch of RUE Belorusneft-Minskoblnefteprodukt in the village of Lipki. This facility is one example of ongoing work in the region to move from outdated tethered livestock housing to modern complexes. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

“It is my deep conviction that it is impossible to achieve good results, including financial ones, in dairy farming without adequate conditions for keeping livestock. When the farm is 40 years old, no matter how much we want, there are problems with the loss of livestock and with the conditions of its keeping. And, as a result, with a financial result. Therefore, we set ourselves the task of liquidating farms where livestock is tethered within five years, and building only modern premises where people will work comfortably, where livestock will stand under normal conditions. "We will achieve the results we need. Therefore, such projects (such as the construction of the Lipki MTF - BELTA's note) should only be welcomed. And such people who love to work on the ground," Alexander Turchin emphasized.

He added that the current perception that when unprofitable farms are given to large industrial enterprises, it becomes a burden, may be true. But in this case, a fundamentally different approach and model. “Somewhere at the initial stage there is help, but this is help with competencies and technologies. There are people who understand agriculture, who bring new technologies to the enterprise, and it starts to work normally, generate profit,” said Alexander Turchin. This is also positive for the nearest settlements, where business helps with landscaping.

The construction of the MTF in Lipki will expand the capacity of the SC "Logoisk" for the production of milk through the creation of a high-tech livestock division. It is planned to reach the production of 11 thousand tons of milk per year (11 tons from each cow). And also to organize the sale of bulls in the weight category up to 100 kg for growing to third-party organizations. The annual number of calves that are expected to be received on the new farm will be 1230 heads: equally calves and heifers.

Ultimately, the project should also lead to an increase in the quality of the product - a higher grade of milk, fat, protein. And also reduce the cost of energy resources, optimize the number of workers by automating production processes and concentrating production in one place (a new farm is being built about 500 meters from the existing MTF "Sloboda"). That is, the productivity of labor and the salary of 11 workers who will serve two productions will increase.

JSC "Belgiproagropischeprom" acts as a designer. The construction is financed at the expense of the enterprise's own funds and a loan from the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus OJSC. The cost of work under the contract, excluding equipment costs, is more than Br32.4 million. The payback period of the project from the moment it reaches its maximum production capacity, according to calculations, reaches 12.6 years.

Work at the facility started on August 23 this year and should be completed on April 21, 2023 according to the standard deadlines. The construction is carried out by BMSU-4 LLC. It is planned to build two loose barns for 480 animals each; milking and milking unit from one installation for 40 places with a quick exit; a barn for 250 dry cows with a maternity ward and a milking unit; dispensary for calves for 250 cattle places; calf barn for 200 cattle places.

To complete the new MTF with cows of the main herd, a part of the dairy cattle from the MTF "Kameno" and "Sloboda" will be transferred to Lipki - a total of 662 heads. The rest (up to 1 thousand) will be brought in 2023-2024 from the MTF in the village of Zaozerye.

Cattle will be provided with feed of their own production (grass, haylage, hay and grain for feed), as well as purchased from suppliers. For additional production of silage and haylage, it is necessary to attract about 190 hectares of pastures. In 2021, 150 hectares have already been replanted. As Alexander Turchin noted, there is one more plus of the project - the President's instruction on land reclamation is being fulfilled. Next year, 400 hectares of abandoned land will be put into agricultural circulation of the branch, they will grow fodder for this complex.

In general, according to the results of work for 10 months of this year, the agricultural branch worked with a profit from the sale of products in the amount of Br1429 thousand. The profitability of sales was plus 7.5%.
