December 16, MINSK. The agro-industrial complex must work efficiently and demonstrate results. This was stated by the chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin during a working meeting on agriculture, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Turchin noted that agriculture, including animal husbandry, is a priority for the region. And today at the meeting it is necessary to assess the work done in this direction. The governor stressed that the chairmen of the district executive committees, who have been working for 3-4 years, should already demonstrate tangible results. "The work of the agricultural sector is a key indicator. In many districts of the Minsk region, the agro-industrial complex occupies a dominant position, and the wages of people depend on its effective work," he noted.Alexander Turchin noted that yesterday he returned from the Russian Federation - he visited the Leningrad Region on a working visit. “I want to tell you that we have a lot to learn. Many Russian farms have come a long way,” he said.
Vasily Sysoev, Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, noted that, despite difficult weather conditions and other difficulties, most regions this year worked positively in the field of agricultural production. "In those areas where the indicators are not met, the work has not been delivered at the proper level," he stressed.
According to him, the growth rate for MILK production in the Minsk region is 102%. “We will produce more than 2 million tons, this is already obvious. But at the same time, we have reserves for individual regions,” Vasily Sysoev added.
In his opinion, in order to achieve high results, the issues of conditions for keeping and reproduction of livestock, in particular the construction of dairy farms, should be a priority for 2023. "We are building farms in 16 districts in accordance with the instruction of the HEAD of state. But more activity is needed in this direction," the committee chairman added. In addition, 38 dispensaries for livestock have been built.
