Alexander Turchin, December 13, Dzerzhinsk. The agro-industrial complex of the
MINSK region is a locomotive for all other sectors of the region's economy. This was stated by Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin at a ceremony during which the results of the regional competition for achieving the best indicators in the development of the Minsk region's agro-industrial complex were summed up, a BELTA correspondent reports.
"The agro-industrial complex of the Minsk region is one of the stable sectors of the economy, complex, requiring constant attention. But given its development in recent years,
it is a locomotive for other sectors," said Alexander Turchin.
Speaking about this year's achievements, the Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee recalled the words of the President, who has repeatedly said that it is necessary to look at the production of those types of products that are not quite traditional in our understanding. "It's not just
MILK and
MEAT . This year, projects have been implemented that are significant for our country. This is the Soligorsk poultry farm enterprise, the largest in the former USSR, which will provide large volumes of quail
egg production . This is the niche in which
the poultry farm will be a monopolist," he noted.
A similar example is the implementation of a project in the Kopyl district for the production of turkey meat. "This, again, is the niche that allows us to look to the future with confidence, and
the products that we have begun to produce will be in demand.
Turkey is healthy
food , which is also important for people," added Alexander Turchin.
The
HEAD of the central region also touched on plans. "We have large-scale plans ahead of us. If in the dairy farming industry we have been moving forward for several years according to the planned strategy of building modern dairy farms, fulfilling the instructions given by the President and seeing the results, then the next plans include the development of pig farming. Part of the livestock is in modern farms, while other facilities have been there for more than 30-40 years. Our task in the next five years is to put all
pigs in modern farms. This is not just a tribute to fashion, but an opportunity to obtain the necessary financial results for effective work," said Alexander Turchin.
He emphasized that a colossal amount of investment is being directed to
agriculture , which is yielding results. "It is important that this result is transformed into the level of wages for agricultural workers. We understand that if we do not pay decent wages today, it will be difficult to find workers in agriculture. And in order to pay good wages, the industry needs to
work effectively ," the chairman of the regional executive committee noted.
The pinnacle of agricultural production is dairy and meat processing, where there are also a number of large-scale projects. "In the near future, a number of interesting projects are being implemented in this area that have not yet been done in our country. This includes the production of lactoferrin at the Slutsk
CHEESE FACTORY, and other projects that will allow us to receive additional profit from milk and meat, ensuring food security for our country, foreign exchange earnings, and effective, highly paid jobs," summarized Alexander Turchin.
