CCI of the Samara region sees significant potential for the development of exchange trade with Belarus

October 15, MINSK. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Samara Region sees a significant potential for the development of exchange trade with Belarus. This was discussed during the visit of a delegation of business circles from this region of RUSSIA to the central office of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, BelTA learned from the press service of the BUCE.

Among other things, it is planned to attract Samara metallurgical enterprises to the stock exchange for the sale of ferrous and non-ferrous metal products, which are annually consumed in significant volumes by the Belarusian industrial sector. "Metal products are one of the main EXPORT items of the Samara region to Belarus, but, unfortunately, the way of Samara metal to the Belarusian buyer, as a rule, lies through intermediaries, which makes it more expensive and less competitive in your market. With the help of the stock exchange, we expect to establish direct contact between the manufacturer and the end consumer, which will also be beneficial for Belarusian enterprises, which will be able to save on purchases.

In addition to trade in rolled metal products, according to the parties, the export of agricultural products can become a promising area of cooperation. In particular, Belarusian dairy products are already supplied to the Samara region, and the use of the exchange platform as an additional sales channel will contribute to the growth in sales.

To raise awareness of the Samara business about the possibilities of using the exchange mechanism in mutual trade with Belarusian partners, an agreement was reached on the participation of production and trade organizations of the Samara region in the international exchange seminar "The market for the production and consumption of agricultural products in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation", which will be held on 9-10 November on the basis of BUTB. The event will become a platform for networking and presentations of the potential of Belarusian and Russian agricultural enterprises specializing in the sale or purchase of feed additives, meal, cake, molasses, grain, cereals, seeds, FLOUR, oilseed products.

JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" was established in 2004. The first auction took place in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe.
