
March 3, Moscow. Among food products in the Eurasian Economic Union, from January 2020 to January 2021, the prices for SUGAR, potatoes and sunflower oil increased the most. Iya Malkina, Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, posted this information on her FACEBOOK page, BelTA informs.
"If we compare prices in January of this year with January 2020, then in general, sugar (by 56.9%), potatoes (by 33.5%) and sunflower oil (by 29.5%) rose the most in the union, while the prices for ALCOHOL , MILK and SALT have not changed seriously - an increase of 3.8%, 4% and 4.2%," wrote Iya Malkina.
The growth in consumer prices for goods and services in the EAEU as a whole in January of this year compared to December 2020 amounted to 0.7%. "It is interesting to see exactly how consumer goods increased in price," the EEC representative noted. "Prices for potatoes (by 12.2%) and fresh vegetables (by 30.1%) have seriously increased in Armenia, but the price of fish has fallen - By 0.1%, prices for confectionery products remained almost the same - an increase of 0.1% In Belarus, the price of potatoes also increased (by 8.6%), and tobacco products also rose in price - by 5.4%. - for bread and pasta - an increase of 0.2%.
In Kazakhstan, prices for fresh vegetables rose by 7.8% in January, the price of salt fell by 0.2%. "In Kyrgyzstan, a serious increase in prices for potatoes was recorded in January compared to December last year - almost 1.5 times, as well as for eggs - by 11%. The price of salt fell - by 0.1%. Vegetables became more expensive in RUSSIA ( 7.9%) and potatoes (7.1%). But eggs and sugar fell in price - by 0.3% and 1.6%, respectively," Iya Malkina informed.
