The construction of the complex at the Bolshie Novoselki branch began in August 2022, almost on the site of an old, low-performance dairy farm. The main volume of construction and installation work was carried out by the builders of the Unitary Enterprise "Borisov Combine of Bakery Products", which made it possible to significantly reduce their cost. This also affected the final price of the facility, which amounted to just over Br8 million. Reasonable savings made it possible not only to commission a new livestock facility, but also to provide it with the most modern technical means.

Thus, the premises are not only equipped with ventilation systems that provide air circulation, but also with sensors that control the maintenance of the optimum temperature.

The complex itself includes two main premises for keeping 800 heads of cattle, 400 each, a milking and milking unit with a mini-boiler house for solid fuel.

At present, the formation of the future herd has begun here at the expense of the reserves of the economy, in which there are more than 6 thousand heads of cattle , where 2.1 thousand heads are a dairy herd. The branch has also gained experience in obtaining high MILK yields: last year, 8.1 thousand tons of milk were received from each cow on the farm. The complex is gradually being populated with heifers, and its workers have already opened the statistics of births, having received the first calf.

Currently, there are 737 dairy farms in the Minsk region, of which 338 are equipped with modern milking machines. However, 311 farms still maintain tethered content.

“Getting good milk yields on farms that do not meet modern requirements is unrealistic. Therefore, today we set the task of deploying as many construction sites as possible to create conditions for animals, as on a new farm in this farm,” he spoke about the development of the livestock industry in the Minsk region Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food Vasily Sysoev.

Over the past three years, a system for the construction of livestock facilities has been created in the region, 118 premises have been put into operation. This year, another 58 facilities are under construction in the region, 20 of them are being built with the financial support of the Minsk City Executive Committee. By the end of 2023, 30 livestock complexes will be put into operation.

"Approximately 85,000 livestock that are tethered should be transferred to new conditions," said Vasily Sysoev. As a result, methods for updating the material base of farms should lead to higher milk yields.

The new dairy complex created 32 jobs, the payback period of investments will be approximately five years.
