The meeting, chaired by Grodno Regional Executive Committee Chairman Yuri Karayev, was attended by Presidential Aide and Inspector for the Grodno Region Konstantin Burak, Chair of the Regional Council of Deputies Elena Pasyuta, and Deputy Chair of the Belneftekhim Concern Svetlana Gurina. State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich and Chairman of the Board of the
NATIONAL BANK Roman Golovchenko participated in the meeting via video link .
As noted at the meeting, the gross regional product in the Grodno Region in January-June 2025 amounted to Br12.6 billion, or 100.9% of the same period in
2024. Karayev emphasized that growth is occurring, but the pace needs to be accelerated. "There is such a thing as economic discipline," said the regional governor. "It must be observed." The expectation is that the harvest, which is taking place later this year, will contribute. Large enterprises must activate their reserves, and active
work is underway to achieve this . Each district is also required to develop realistic growth prospects in all areas, including the implementation of projects under the "One District - One Project" initiative. The regional executive committee chairman instructed district heads to quickly outline specific plans. Discussions will be held at the regional executive committee for each district, with the participation of the regional governor.
In the Grodno region, industrial output in the first half of the year amounted to Br11.8 billion, accounting for 11.5% of the republic's total. The production of food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 101.7% compared to January-June 2024, wood and paper products by 111%, rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products by 107%, machinery and equipment by 101.4%, and finished metal products by 102.7%.
The gross agricultural output in all categories of farms amounted to Br2.21 billion. Agricultural organizations, including peasant (farm) households, produced products worth Br2.18 billion. Positive dynamics were ensured in the development of public livestock farming. In agricultural organizations, the growth rate of livestock production amounted to 102.6% compared to January-June 2024. 860.9 thousand tons of
MILK were produced, which is 38 thousand tons, or 4.6%, more. The average milk yield per cow in the region as a whole increased by 137 kg, reaching 3,926 kg in the first half of 2025. Livestock and poultry production totaled 146,700 tons.
At a meeting of the regional executive committee, specific tasks were set for the heads of the district vertical
of power, industries, enterprises, and organizations. In industry, this includes active efforts to reduce warehouse inventories, taking into account the specifics of industries and enterprises, lowering costs, and engaging citizens not currently employed in the economy. In the agricultural sector, this includes timely
harvesting of straw from fields and winter sowing, with the deadline set for September 28 in the northern regions and October 1 in other areas. The most important task is to ensure the full supply of products through government procurement, in accordance with the established target. Focus is on preparing storage facilities and storing products in the stabilization fund. Farmers' responsibilities include harvesting corn, preparing the required amount of feed, autumn tillage, liming acidic soils, and a host of other tasks.
At the same time, social considerations must be kept at the forefront, emphasized Yuri Karaev.
"At a recent meeting discussing the effectiveness of the nationwide retail service system, the President emphasized that food and essential goods must reach even the most remote village, every grandmother in the village. This is no accident. Rural residents are the people who built the country, working without regard for
money during the most difficult times. Today
"Caring for them is becoming one of the priority tasks," said Yuri Karaev.
