Slutsk cheese-making plant plans to implement an innovative project for the production of powdered milk

June 4, MINSK. The Slutsk cheese-making plant plans to implement an innovative project to set up the production of instant dry MILK - whole and skimmed - with the subsequent sale of products for EXPORT. Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus, told about this today during a meeting with the management and staff of the enterprise, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee on Science and Technology.

The project received a positive conclusion from the state scientific and technical expertise and was included in the State Innovative Development Program of Belarus for 2021-2025.

"A feature of the technology for the production of powdered instant milk is the production of a product with a capillary-porous structure of particles and high wetting ability. This state is achieved by agglomeration of dried particles and crystallization of lactose. The implementation of this project will increase the production of competitive import-substituting products, as well as increase the share of revenue in foreign currency ", - said Alexander Shumilin.

According to the business plan, the project is planned to be completed in 2023. The documentation provides for the construction of a new workshop, as well as the purchase of production equipment integrated into the existing technological process.
