November 12, MINSK. Agricultural branches of the organizations of the Ministry of Energy harvested 103,900 tons of grain in 2021, Minister of Energy Viktor Karankevich said today during a solemn event to award the winners of industry competitions in grain harvesting, which was held on the basis of the SPU "Protasovshchina", BelTA learned from press service of the Ministry of Energy.

This year has been a difficult one for industry workers, given the late and rainy spring and cold September. However, despite the weather conditions, the country's bins are filled with grain in the required volumes. "Our agricultural branches also made a significant contribution to the republican loaf - they harvested 103.9 thousand tons of grain. The average yield was 45.3 centners per hectare with an average republican level of 33.7 centners per hectare," Viktor Karankevich said.

According to the results of 9 months of the current year, a positive trend has developed in terms of gross MILK yield and gross weight gain of cattle: the increase was 5.9% and 7%, respectively.

Victor Karankevich thanked the employees of agricultural branches for conscientious work, dedication and focus on high results. The winners of industry competitions in grain harvesting were awarded certificates of honor and gratitude.

The leader in the harvesting of grain and leguminous crops among the branches of the State Production Association "Belenergo" became the agricultural firm "Lebedevo" of RUE "Minskenergo", the best among the branches of the State Production Association "Beltopgaz" was the branch "Protasovshchina" of the UE "Grodnooblgaz". He was recognized as the winner in two nominations at once - the harvesting of grain crops and the harvesting of rapeseed.
