
June 26, Minsk. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko arrived in Kazakhstan. Today he, accompanied by his Kazakh colleague Askar Mamin, visited a number of enterprises, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
Roman Golovchenko visited the largest automaker in Kazakhstan - SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP. This is the first plant in Kazakhstan that meets the requirements of industrial assembly, within which welding, painting and body assembly are carried out. In addition, the plant is the only enterprise that produces all types of vehicles.
The Prime Minister of Belarus also visited the joint-stock company Agromash-Holding KZ. This is the only industrial enterprise in the country that produces grain harvesters, tractors and a wide range of additional products. It is also the exclusive distributor of Gomselmash products in Kazakhstan.Roman Golovchenko got acquainted with the production of tractor and agricultural machinery at the Composite Group Kazakhstan enterprise. Now the assembly line of the enterprise is designed to produce 1.2 thousand units of tractors "Belarus" per year. According to the company, plans have already been formed to develop the site, create new jobs, increase the number of technological operations performed, aimed at increasing the share of production localization. The construction of production facilities has also begun to accommodate a workshop for the production of universal tractor cabs. Completion of construction is scheduled for the end of 2021, and the production of the first cab is planned for mid-2022. About $7 million of investments should be directed to the implementation of the project.
Roman Golovchenko also visited the Sokolovsko-Sarbai Mining and Processing Production Association, which is engaged in the extraction and processing of iron ore, limestone and dolomite. During the three-day visit, the head of the Belarusian government will meet with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Also, negotiations will be held in an expanded format with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin. Signing of bilateral documents is planned. In addition, it is planned to visit the ModeX plant, the Astana International Financial Center and the National Museum of Kazakhstan.
In terms of the volume of Belarusian exports, Kazakhstan is among the ten main trading partners of our country and is the third among the CIS countries. In 2020, the Belarusian-Kazakh trade turnover amounted to $847.9 million. The main items of Belarusian exports were tractors, combines, beef, milk , cream, sugar, cheeses, cottage cheese, furniture and medicines. The main imports from Kazakhstan are hard coal, oil products, cotton fiber, rails, raw zinc, ferroalloys and metal products.
There are 54 enterprises with Kazakh capital operating in Belarus, including 13 joint ventures and 36 foreign ones. There are 366 companies with Belarusian participation in Kazakhstan.
