December 2, Algeria.
Belarus has been granted the right to freely trade its dairy products in Algeria. Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov told reporters in Algiers, according to a BelTA correspondent. "At present, we must admit that the supply of powdered
milk, whey, and similar products is the basis of our trade with Algeria. These are truly significant volumes. Thanks to the work we've done with the Algerian side and the support of the Algerian President, we've managed to obtain certificates for all our dairy products, which allows us to trade here without any obstacles today," the foreign minister said.
"In recent days, a decision was made to include dairy baby food products in this list, which also opens up quite significant prospects," the minister added.
He clarified that this primarily concerns wholesale deliveries with subsequent packaging in Algeria for sale both on the domestic market and in other countries in the region.
