The rating of exchange exporters of agricultural products was headed by producers of rapeseed oil and dairy products

October 14, MINSK. Producers of rapeseed oil and dairy products are leading in the rating of exchange-traded exporters of agricultural products, BUCE spokesman Roman Yaniv told a BelTA correspondent.

According to the results of nine months of 2021, the top five largest exporters of agricultural products operating on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange were formed by enterprises in the oil and fat and dairy industries. The rating was calculated based on the volume and number of transactions made by companies during the reporting period.

In the first place, with a significant margin from competitors, is JSC "Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant" - one of the leading Belarusian oilseeds processors. Due to regular deliveries of rapeseed oil to European countries, the company managed to more than triple the volume of exports of products through the stock exchange.

The second place in the rating was shared by two domestic flagships of the oil and fat industry - CJSC "Oblrapsagroservice" and LLC "Agroproduct". Like JSC "Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant", these enterprises used BUCE to sell rapeseed oil abroad, which allowed them to significantly improve their EXPORT performance. For CJSC "Oblrapsagroservice" the growth rate was 2209%, and for LLC "Agroproduct" - 945%.

The fourth place in the rating went to Lida Dairy Plant, a major player in the domestic market of dairy products. Through the stock exchange, the company exported butter, MILK powder and casein, and the main sales markets were RUSSIA and Germany. As a result, taking into account the favorable market conditions, the plant's export sales increased by 2.7 times.

For the first time, the fifth place in the ranking was taken by a SUGAR producer - OAO "Skidel Sugar Plant". The enterprise was able to get into the top 5 exchange exporters of agricultural products due to the transfer to the exchange of the sale of significant volumes of sugar beet molasses. it turned out that these products are extremely in demand in the Baltic countries, and competition during the auction helped the domestic manufacturer to receive additional foreign exchange earnings.

In January-September 2021, the export of goods through BUCE increased by 76% - to $564 million, including rapeseed oil - 2.4 times (up to $48 million), butter - by 21% (up to $13 million), milk powder - by 17% (up to $9 million) and molasses - up to $6 million (there were no deals with this product in 2020).

JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" was established in 2004. The first auction took place in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. The main function of the exchange is to assist Belarusian enterprises in exporting products and to help foreign companies enter the Belarusian market. The exchange sells metal, timber, agricultural products, industrial and consumer goods of a wide range.
