We talked with the chairman of the Stolbtsy district executive committee, Denis Kolesen, about how the region is developing today and what its economic potential is. - Denis Sergeevich, during your leadership of the Stolbtsovsky district, a significant event took place - the regional festival-fair of village workers “Dazhynki-2022”. For this holiday, the city and the region as a whole were noticeably transformed and truly blossomed. Have these positive changes and miraculous transformations continued over the past two years? - For Stolbtsy, 2022 was a historic year. A lot has been done for the regional “Dazhynki”. A bypass road has been put into operation. A ring road has been built. Educational institutions have been improved. A new surface has been laid on the football field of the Yunost stadium. The Belarus cinema was opened, a new children's art school was put into operation, and the library was renovated. The city lake has been updated. Major and cosmetic repairs of residential buildings were carried out. The courtyards were landscaped and five new children's play complexes were installed. A monument to Yakub Kolas was unveiled. Chairman of the MINSK Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin, at a gala event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Minsk region, noted that “the project for improving the urban ecosystem of Stolbtsy may well lay claim to a reference model for the development of small towns in the republic.” Transformations, as correctly noted, do not end in the region. In 2023, 27,010 square meters were commissioned in the district. meters of housing, including in rural areas – 11,679 sq. meters. Projects have been developed for the construction of three apartment buildings in Stolbtsy. Construction of an 8-apartment residential building in Novaya Veska is underway. Five single-apartment houses are being built at SZHK Naliboki LLC. Individual housing is being built. A current topic is the asphalting of streets and roads in the region. In total, 24.2 km were updated in 2023. Large-scale improvement of roads has continued this year. Water supply is constantly monitored. Annually a comprehensive improvement of the settlements is being carried out, which become the “capital” of the district “Dazhynak”. Last year it was Novaya Vyoska, this year it is Stary Sverzhen. Large-scale work is also being carried out in Novokolosovo for the 70th anniversary of the village. In general, the topic of improvement is endless, and it is important. , that people appreciate it, they note and do not stand aside. Through joint efforts, we are improving the new park on Tsvetochnaya Street. Trees have been planted, pedestrian paths are being installed, the tiles for which were purchased using funds raised at the community cleanup - It is developing successfully in your area. Agriculture .How did the current sowing season go? What are the overall prospects for the industry?












- The 2024 sowing campaign was carried out in optimal time. The success of agriculture must be discussed through the livestock sector. Over the past 10 years, the region has been increasing production volumes of both MEAT and MILK. In terms of milk production, Stolbtsovshchina ranks 5th among 22 districts of the Minsk region.
All this became possible thanks to the improvement of the food supply. Last year, 31 centners of feed units were prepared for one conventional HEAD of animal.
We renovated the agricultural land with high-quality perennial grasses, and we see good results. To create a decent food supply, 3,871 hectares of winter rapeseed were sown. We hope to receive at least 11 thousand tons of oilseeds for the production of animal feed. We increased corn crops to 13 thousand hectares. 
We are introducing new crops into crop rotation, such as soybeans and sunflowers. To increase the nutritional value of the haylage, 1,280 hectares of leguminous grasses were sown in the next period. The conditions under which livestock are kept are also of great importance. There are 5 new modern MTCs being built in the region, 9 have already been put into operation. In June of this year, MTK will be introduced at JSC Agronemansky for 1000 heads.
- Does the industry of the Stolbtsy district demonstrate sustainable development?

- Undoubtedly. Every year the volume of industrial production increases. Even in 2020, a year of strength testing, our industry showed an increase in production volumes of 16.4 million rubles.
The volume of industrial production for 2023 amounted to 289.6 million rubles, or 105.3% compared to last year. And, most importantly, we do not work for a warehouse. Inventories of finished products as of January 1, 2024 amounted to 6.2 million rubles, or 25.7% of the average monthly production volume. As of January 1, 2023, they amounted to 36.8% of the average monthly production volume.
More than 60.0% of the total volume of industrial production comes from our two meat processing plants: OJSC Stolbtsovsky Meat Canning Plant and SJSC Agrokombinat Kolos, which produces products under the Gallery of Taste brand.

- What interesting social projects are being implemented?
- The most A large-scale project for the social sphere of the region is the construction of a modern building for a social services center. Commissioning is planned for 2025.

In general, the social sphere is always a priority. If you drive around the city, and even around the region, you will see how many facilities have been renovated. new ones have been put into operation. These are schools and kindergartens, sports facilities, medical institutions and cultural institutions.
- You often hold on-site receptions for citizens. What worries the residents of Stolbtsy region today?

- On-site receptions are one of the forms of interaction with the population. Among the requests received from citizens of our region, priority is given to issues of housing and communal services, water supply and improvement of populated areas. An important aspect is to establish feedback, including through the district newspaper "Pramen" and social networks, in order to understand whether applicants are satisfied with the response, quality and volume of work performed.

- Tell us a little about yourself. Where are your roots, what influenced your destiny and determined your professional choice?
- Talking about yourself is both simple and difficult at the same time. I am a native of Stolbtsovshchina. I'm proud of this. I’m glad that I have the opportunity to develop my region. As they said in the old days: where you were born, you came in handy.
My professional choice was determined by the fact that I was from a rural area. His mother devoted her entire life to working at school, her father to agriculture and worked as a livestock specialist. I know firsthand what peasant labor is. This predetermined my professional choice. He started as an engineer at JSC Rubezhevichi. He was the DIRECTOR of an agricultural organization, deputy chairman. I have been managing the district since 2018. Thanks to the fact that I started my journey from the land, I know and understand all the nuances of agriculture.

- Do you have a life motto?
- My life credo is simple: exceed your own achievements. Every year I set a goal for myself to be better than last year. I hope I succeed. - Denis Sergeevich, what event of this half-year left the brightest mark? - The most striking event of the past period of this year was the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly and, of course, my direct participation in it. We live in a time when there are many issues that affect the future of our country. And we can all take part in solving them together.
