April 19, Tambov. Ambassador of Belarus to RUSSIA Dmitry Krutoy visited the Tambov region on April 19, where he held a meeting with Belarusian dealers and visited the largest chemical enterprise in the regional center. The main point of the visit's program was the detailed negotiations with the governor of the Russian region Maxim Yegorov, BelTA has learned.
“Today we had a breakthrough meeting with the governor. Belarus and the Tambov region have the highest trade turnover figures: in recent years, we have consistently exceeded the level of three or four years ago twice. And this is absolutely not the limit,” the ambassador told reporters following the talks.
He said that on behalf of the leadership of Belarus he invited the governor of the Tambov region to visit MINSK and other cities with a representative delegation in August. “We decided that it will definitely be Grodno and, possibly, Brest,” the diplomat specified. “We will try to fill the agenda of our relations with new directions by this time, work out a number of projects that are scheduled today. The task (and in this I absolutely agree with the governor ) - to switch from trade relations to some kind of cooperative joint projects Literally today, at two sites, we received proposals to create joint assembly plants of either agricultural, or municipal, or road equipment - any option based on the MAZ chassis, on the basis of AMKODOR equipment with the participation of MTZ , and it will certainly
According to the ambassador, until that time the parties had most actively developed cooperation in two segments of the economy - chemistry and agriculture. “In agriculture, despite the good numbers, we agreed to work on the construction of vegetable stores,” he said. “It is also possible to build new MILK processing enterprises with the participation of leasing and financial instruments from the EXPORT support of Belarusian banks for supplies to the Tambov region. And the topic science in terms of seed breeding - the governor asked to work more actively in this direction."
As for passenger equipment for Tambov, Belarus made its last deliveries back in the pre-Covid period. "It was clearly defined that now it will primarily be the supply of gas-engine equipment. Therefore, a tender will be announced now, we will actively participate in it," Dmitry Krutoy explained.
As for municipal equipment, Tambov does not need it in the classic version. "Given the size of the city, street cleaning schemes, we need more maneuverable equipment in a special design, so AMKODOR and MAZ should work in the coming months. Plus, as part of the modernization of the local airport, there will be a certain renewal of the fleet of airfield equipment, we need our capabilities on behalf of the governor, too present very quickly," the ambassador said.
The construction sector was also touched upon during the negotiations. “The region has an absolutely amazing pace of commissioning objects in the field of education and healthcare, and the governor instructed that two or three objects be selected for Belarusians before his visit to Minsk. And we would also select financing instruments in addition to direct construction opportunities,” he added. Dmitry Krutoy.
