Breakthrough and great prospects. The Minsk Regional Executive Committee analyzed the work of the livestock industry

December 26, Kopyl District. Vasily Sysoyev, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, called the pace of development of dairy farming in the central region a real breakthrough and the opening of great prospects at the opening of the new dairy complex "Rusaki" of JSC "Staritsa-Agro" in Kopyl District, a BELTA correspondent reports.

"For the first time in the history of the agricultural sector of the Minsk region, we will milk 6,550 liters of milk from one cow. There is only one step left to reach 7,000 liters. By the beginning of December, we have already produced about 2 million tons of milk and by the end of the year we will sell almost the same amount. For the first time in the history of the region, we have harvested 650 thousand tons of corn with a yield of 92 c/ha. But what was done thanks to the support of the President and the Governor in terms of investing in the future can be called a real breakthrough. If we take all sources of funding, then about 307 million rubles have been invested in the development of the livestock industry, in particular in the construction of the MTC, in 2023. During the year, 57 livestock facilities were under construction, 30 of which were put into operation," said Vasily Sysoev.

This is very important, according to the committee chairman, since the new MTCs help solve a number of problems. And one of them is the complete rejection of tethered livestock. "We will add another 10 to the figure of 27, and in 2024 we plan to put into operation almost 40 more facilities," Vasily Sysoev emphasized.

He also spoke about the features of the project implemented at JSC Staritsa-Agro. The MTC for 700 heads has almost ideal conditions for livestock breeders and cows. And this is one of the guarantees of a gradual increase in production indicators and an improvement in the quality of manufactured products. "This is a reserve not just for a year, but for the entire five-year period, a significant step forward, because the future milk of the Minsk region is concentrated in such facilities. Taking into account the facilities that we will put into operation in 2024, about 40 thousand cows, which is half of the total number, will be kept in modern conditions," Vasily Sysoev noted.

The new MTC "Rusaki" in JSC "Staritsa-Agro" was built in a little less than a year with the involvement of funds from the city of Minsk. At present, the complex is being populated with heifers, and by next year it will contain 700 heads of dairy herd. With their transfer to the new complex, three unpromising farms will be closed or re-profiled.

In total, the farm has about 9.7 thousand heads of cattle , of which 2.3 thousand are cows, the average milk yield from each in 2023 will be more than 7.1 thousand tons. Every day, the farm sends about 40 thousand tons of raw materials for processing. The plans include reaching sales volumes of 60 thousand tons.
