Commercial milk production in Russia in January-November 2020 increased by 5.6%

In Russia, according to the Dairy Market Research Center (DIA), milk production in agricultural enterprises and peasant farms in January-November 2020 increased by 5.6% compared to 11 months of 2019.
 
 
According to the CIS Statistical Committee, the production of raw milk (total volume, commercial and non-commercial) in January-November 2020, compared to the corresponding period in 2019, continued to grow in Azerbaijan (+1.7%), the Republic of Belarus (+5.1%), Kazakhstan (+3.2%), Kyrgyzstan (+2.3%), Tajikistan (+2.1%), Uzbekistan (+2.9%), milk production in Armenia continues to decline (-1.9%), Moldova (-13.1%) and Ukraine (-4.2%).

In Russia, according to DIA, milk production in agricultural enterprises and peasant farms in January-November 2020 increased by 5.6% compared to 11 months of 2019.


 
Butter production in the Russian Federation in this period increased by 5% compared to 2019, in Azerbaijan the production growth was 2%, in Kazakhstan +21%, in Kyrgyzstan +53%, in Armenia +17%. At the same time, butter production decreased in the Republic of Belarus (-1%) and Ukraine (-5%). Butter production in the CIS as a whole increased by 4% to 424 thousand tons.

 
According to DIA analysts, the production of whole-milk products also continued to grow in most CIS countries. In Azerbaijan, the growth was +0.7%, in Armenia +8%, in the Republic of Belarus +6%, in Kazakhstan +3%, in Russia +1% (the CIS Statistical Committee in the Russian Federation takes into account only drinking milk ), in Tajikistan +4% .

 
The production of whole milk products continued to decline in Kyrgyzstan (-17%), Uzbekistan (-12%) and Ukraine (-4%). In general, in the CIS, production growth amounted to 1% to 10,187 thousand tons.
