Agricultural production in Belarus in January-July decreased by 0.2%

August 17, MINSK. Agricultural production in farms of all categories (in agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) farms, households) in January-July amounted to Br11.1 billion, or in comparable prices 99.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2020, BelTA learned from National Statistical Committee.

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br10.7 billion, or 100.1% in comparable prices compared to the same period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories produced 1.047 million tons of livestock and poultry, 4.606 million tons of MILK, 2.06 billion eggs. Agricultural organizations account for 96.6% of livestock and poultry production in live weight, 97.2% of milk and 83.7% of eggs.

As of August 1, 2021, there were 4.2 million HEAD of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.5 million.
