May 15, Minsk. Agricultural production in farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, peasant (farmer) farms, households) in January-April amounted to Br4.4 billion, or 99.7% in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2020, BelTA learned from the National statistics committee.

Agricultural organizations produced products worth Br4.3 billion, or 100.2% in comparable prices compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Farms of all categories produced 602.1 thousand tons of livestock and poultry, 2506.4 thousand tons of milk and 1112.1 million eggs. Agricultural organizations account for 96% of livestock and poultry production in live weight, 97.8% of milk and 89.2% of eggs.

As of May 1, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.5 million.
