Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Gennady Solovey emphasized this today at a meeting to sum up the competition for the socio-economic development of the Mozyr region in 2020 and honor the winners among labor collectives, BelTA has learned.

Gennady Solovey emphasized: Mozyrsky is one of the region's rampart-forming districts. It was included in the list of 11 territories in which accelerated socio-economic development is envisaged. According to the governor, the district is one of those that show that a responsible approach and work can achieve significant results in the social, industrial and agricultural sectors.

"Considering the issues of integrated development, we aim to ensure that the programs reflect the development paths of all areas. It is important to achieve growth, systematic, progressive movement forward in each industry. Investments - budgetary, organizations, credit resources - are directed to the development of enterprises, the social sphere, agriculture economy," said Gennady Solovey.

Analyzing the results of the work of the Mozyr region last year, Gennady Solovey noted: in the agro-industrial direction, this region is one of the best not only in the region, but also in the republic. In 2020, Mozyr agrarians produced products worth Br130 million, said Elena Pavlechko, chairman of the district executive committee. In the livestock sector, there is growth in all types of products. Thus, the growth rate of milk production was 106% compared to 2019, cattle - 104.7%, pig breeding - 107.3%, egg production - 104.4%, poultry - 101.1%. Agricultural organizations received a harvest of 44.8 thousand tons of grain and legumes.

The manufacturing sector is developing. The industrial output of the region last year reached Br9.6 billion, Elena Pavlechko stated. A pellet plant was put into operation. Important projects are being implemented by the Mozyr Oil Refinery. The Governor also noted the significant contribution of JSC "Mozyrsalt", DSK, construction organizations.

The social sphere has grown with new and modernized facilities in the past year. The district center is being improved.

"Much has been done in all areas, and we will continue this work," the head of the region emphasized.

Gennady Solovey thanked the representatives of the labor collectives of the district for their fruitful work for the benefit of the region and the republic. The production leaders were awarded well-deserved awards.
