This was announced on March 28 at a session of the regional Council of Deputies by the chairman of the Gomel regional executive committee Ivan Krupko in a report on the work of the regional executive committee in 2022, BelTA has learned.

According to him, the enterprises of the region tried to compensate for losses due to the cessation of supplies of products to the markets of the European Union and Ukraine by reorienting sales directions. "First of all, revenues to the markets of the Russian Federation were actively increasing (growth rate - 153%). Also, supplies to Egypt increased by 8.4 times, to Armenia by 5.2 times, to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan," Ivan added. Krupko.

The list of the main export positions of the region includes steel bars (1.2 million tons delivered for $785 million), ferrous metal wire (for $372 million), agricultural machinery (4305 units for $135 million), cheeses and cottage cheese, MILK and condensed cream , ferrous metal pipes, beef MEAT, hardware products and much more. "In total, there are about 2.5 thousand export positions in the region," the governor emphasized.
