March 15, MINSK. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Andrey Metelitsa in the project "In Fact: Decisions of the First One" on the BelTA YouTube channel spoke about tactics for developing the markets of far-arc countries.

He noted that cooperation with Pakistan is steadily and purposefully developing, the basis of Belarusian exports to this country for many decades has been tractors and spare parts for them. This technique is well known and appreciated here since the times of the Soviet Union. In recent years, such EXPORT positions have appeared as artificial thread and tows for the textile industry, which is well developed in Pakistan.

The Minsk Tractor Works began working with Pakistan back in 1956 and during this time delivered 150,000 units, the ambassador cited the data. “At one time, assembly production was established, but then, unfortunately, it was suspended. Consultations on the restoration of assembly production are ongoing,” he explained. “Joint production is not a prospect for tomorrow. engineering, technological, therefore, the issue is being discussed, technical consultations are being carried out - we help to find a partner, give advice."

Belarus, he said, aims to expand the supply of agricultural products, in particular dry MILK. In turn, Pakistan sells fruits, vegetables, rice to our country. There are regular visits of business delegations.

High-level visits always give a great impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation, Andrei Metelitsa noted. “When high-level meetings take place, it sends a signal to all departments, not only state-owned, but also private companies, that there is an interest in working with the country, there is a favorable political atmosphere. It always helps to work, doors open easier, contacts are easier to establish. we are getting a new platform - the SCO. We used to be observers, I hope we will join it soon," the HEAD of the diplomatic mission said.

"We have quite a lot of reserves for building up cooperation. We have a developed country with great potential. We have strong industry and agriculture. Pakistan is interested in both our products and technical expertise. They are also looking at technologies. Prospects and reserves "Yes," Andrey Metelitsa emphasized, "We help exporters and industry departments to identify interests, promising areas and work with them. MTZ has already staked out its niche. Baby food, Bellakt have already established themselves on the market. Probably, this is how we should work - to determine the niche and to gain a foothold like this in Belarusian, patiently.
