April 14, Vitebsk. In Vitebsk, about 120 best livestock workers of the region were awarded. The solemn ceremony was held in the House of Culture of the Vitebsk Order of the Badge of Honor of the State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, BelTA has learned.

Elena Chernikova has been working in the livestock sector for almost 27 years. Today she works as a machine milking operator at the Yubileiny agricultural complex, where the milk yield from a cow exceeds 8708 kg. She says she continues the dynasty - her mother also devoted her life to this profession. “The most important thing in our work is to follow all the milking technology, to carry out our operations so that everything is on time, clearly and smoothly. Now it has become much easier to work, everything is mechanized. We have a carousel for 2250 heads, each performs its own operation,” the woman explained. "We achieve success with our work, we love our work. Our salary is decent, and the enterprise helps financially."

Acknowledgments, certificates of honor and medals were received by about 120 people. These are drivers, machinists, tractor drivers, operators of machine milking, pig-breeding complexes, livestock breeders, veterinarians, business leaders - those who, with their labor achievements, personal qualities, create the basis for the development of the economy of the northern region and the country.

The people present in the hall have proven themselves to be highly qualified specialists and workers, sincerely dedicated to their work, working regardless of holidays, time of day and season, and working well, said Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee. “The past year demanded a high level of organization and discipline as never before. It is no secret to anyone that animal husbandry is the most high-tech segment of our economy. It consists of a large number of cells, segments: fodder, veterinary care, and so on, compliance with all technical regulations. And any retreat in any link of this complex chain does not pass without a trace. The work to improve the level of organization of all production links is the key not only to the dairy solvency of agricultural enterprises, but also to the intensive development of the economy," he said.

The head of the region added that certain results have been achieved in the livestock sector, there are stably operating farms that have traditionally set a high bar - more than 7 thousand kg of milk per cow. "As before, our flagships are Larinovka, Mazolovogaz in the Vitebsk region, Shaterovo in the Verkhnedvinsk region, and the Yubileiny agricultural complex in the Orsha region," said Alexander Subbotin.

Among the best in raising cattle, he named the Orsha district, where the average daily weight gain was 672 g, and a number of farms where the weight gain was more than 700 g. High", "Larinovka" and "Agrokombinat" Yubileiny ".

There are 15 complexes for fattening cattle in the Vitebsk region. Last year, thanks to the support of the state, they carried out repairs and reconstruction of the premises. These works are ongoing. The best among such complexes are those belonging to Vitebskagroprodukt, as well as the pig farm of the Shaterovo agricultural enterprise.

The chairman of the regional executive committee assured that the region continues to update the material and technical base, are building and reconstructing farms with the transition to modern methods of keeping livestock. In particular, another loudspeaker was introduced in the Orsha district, dairy farms in the Postavy and Senno districts. Construction of 12 farms is planned for this and next year. In addition, construction work on dispensaries, trenches, re-equipment of old farm buildings and pig complexes for keeping calves will continue in the region. All this work in a complex will allow a significant increase in production volumes.

Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats added that workers in the sector have made a huge contribution to the development of the country's animal husbandry. “I am very pleased to state today that the Vitebsk region is starting to gain momentum. We ended last year with at least a slight, but growth of 101.5%. This year, following the results of three months, we increased the figure by almost 1.5%. "Today, the productivity of the dairy herd has begun to increase: the region adds 3% of milk. Pig breeders have exceeded the bar of republican significance - 870 g of average daily weight gain. This deserves the highest respect and approval," he stressed.
