August 4, Minsk. Participants of the "Impulse to Unity" initiative - representatives of the labor collective of one of the country's largest milk-processing enterprises "Milkavita" - visited the Palace of Independence today, BelTA has learned.

As Irina Dovgalo, deputy of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Legislation, explained to journalists, the idea to organize the project appeared after the announcement of the Year of National Unity. “Wonderful initiatives have been launched, including from the localities. One of them was the proposal of the labor collective of OJSC Milkavita to carry out a project - Impulse to Unity,” she noted. The parliamentarian visited the enterprise (the largest industrial facility in her district), talked with workers, including on the topic of national unity - what exactly do they invest in this concept, what does it mean for them to be united. "Many said: for us, unity is, first of all, pride. Pride in their country, in their products, because they are the best (they are confident in this and make it so that it really is the best), pride in their families, for the success of their children, - said Irina Dovgalo. - Many said that for them unity is peace. Last year left such imprints that people want peace, keep the peace."

As a result of such communication, the idea of a large-scale project "Impulse to Unity" was born, which is now being implemented at the parliamentary level. Deputies in discussions with voters discuss the topic of national unity and strengthen it with concrete deeds. Such, for example, as visiting the iconic objects of Belarus.

Today, representatives of the Milkavita labor collective visited the building where the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives are located, visited the Presidential Library and the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. "Since the year is significant for our country - the 80th anniversary of the start of the war, we want people to know and preserve the memory and truth about the war. The fact that we pass this on to the new generation is also an impulse to unity," the deputy noted.

However, the main and most impressive event for the participants of today's trip, of course, was a visit to the symbol of Belarusian statehood - the Palace of Independence.

"We were lucky to come here. Visiting such iconic objects of Belarus is, of course, worth a lot, because not every person can get in and see these places, halls, learn the secrets of the "presidential kitchen" - how he communicates with top officials, world chapters, - said Elena Lapova, Deputy General Director for Personnel, Ideological Work and General Affairs, in an interview with journalists. - People will remember this for a long time, they will tell their colleagues. I am sure that after such a visit, each of them will have not only a lot of impressions, but they will be even more convinced that our country is on the right track and we must preserve what we have. This is our wealth, our history, our heritage."

Speaking about her perception of the Palace of Independence, Elena Lapova stressed that she considers it a stronghold of Belarusian statehood. She is here for the second time, but the emotions do not become less. "When you enter a large reception hall, it just takes your breath away. Even if I came every year, I would find something new for myself. Photos change, new details are told on excursions - something that an ordinary person would never know. Such things you hear about here you won't find anywhere else," she admitted.

The deputy director drew attention to the fact that the employees of the enterprise were lucky to become the pioneers of the "Impulse to Unity" project. "We take an active part in public and political life, support the existing state course, try to actively express our position and strive to ensure that our people have the opportunity to work in comfortable conditions, a stable salary and be confident in the future," she said. .

Tatyana Lyutaya, head of the household of Milkavita OJSC, admits that the interiors of the Palace of Independence made an indelible impression on her: "This splendor, beauty cannot be described in simple words. I am overwhelmed with emotions, it is difficult to express them, to find the right words. I am grateful to everyone for being able to get there, to see it. I will tell my daughter, granddaughter about where I have been." She stressed that she was very proud of the presence of such a palace in Belarus, and especially that it was made by local craftsmen. "This is my pride. We heard a lot, talked about it, but now I saw this story, my Belarus, the embodiment of our thoughts, ideas, they are nearby and you can touch them with your hands. This, of course, is the merit of our people, our leadership," she said.

However, there were also such participants of the excursion who were not quite "satisfied". "Everything is very beautiful, only the President was missing. I would like to personally greet him, shake hands," Dmitry Kravchenko, deputy head of the transport department of Milkavita OJSC, noted with a bit of humor. When asked by journalists what the Palace of Independence means to him personally, Dmitry confidently answers: "Power and authority."

Irina Dovgalo and other parliamentarians will continue the implementation of the "Impulse to Unity" project. There are many more events and discussions ahead. The deputy hopes that by communicating in the districts he will be able to collect a palette of opinions of different people about what unity is for them, and, perhaps, as a result of this activity, get closer to the formulation of a national idea. "We must be able to listen and hear each other. This is very important," Irina Dovgalo emphasized.
