31 March, Polotsk. The development and prospects of the agricultural holding created on the basis of the Polotsk Dairy Plant were discussed at a meeting with Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, BelTA has learned.



During a working trip to the Vitebsk Region, Alexander Turchin visited the dairy plant in Polotsk, where he discussed with its management the interaction within the agricultural holding. Mikhail Chernevich, General DIRECTOR of the Polotsk Dairy Plant, said that the integration association includes 40 organizations and separate structural divisions, including 34 agricultural enterprises. These agricultural organizations are located in eight districts of the region. They are the main suppliers of MILK. The parent company plans to modernize the existing dairy farms in order to obtain more raw materials and increase the utilisation of production capacities.
The Polotsk Dairy Plant specialises in the production of dairy products, dry milk and butter using traditional technologies. The company's products are supplied to the EAEU countries , Oman, Turkey, Syria, Malaysia. The issue of developing the markets of Africa and Latin America is also being worked out here.
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, who took part in meetings at the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and CHEESE FACTORY and the Polotsk Dairy Plant, emphasized that the main topic of the events with the participation of the HEAD of the Belarusian government was the prospects for the development of agroholdings. Both enterprises are the central links of such associations. Alexander Turchin gave instructions to determine the strategy for the further development of agro-industrial holdings.
