November 22, MINSK . The government has set itself the task of making a significant breakthrough in the production of agricultural products. This was stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during a visit to the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences, BELTA reports.



Microbiology is one of the issues of ensuring the scientific and technological sovereignty of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko emphasized. "The Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences works in several areas that are very important for the national economy, for our socio-economic development. First of all, a lot was said about this today: we set ourselves the task of making a significant breakthrough in the production of agricultural products, in particular MILK and dairy products that will be obtained from it. To do this, of course, we need to provide the livestock industry with highly effective and high-energy feed. Without this, such a leap is impossible, he is confident. "In order to have feed, it must not only be prepared, it must be preserved."
According to the Prime Minister, this goal is difficult to achieve without the use of modern feed additives. "Today, the institute's scientists are working on this topic and not only are they working, but they already have finished products that are now being actively used in our agricultural organizations," said Roman Golovchenko.

There are many such drugs on the market, he continued. "There are imported ones, and there are other manufacturers, including private ones. But as I was told today, the distinctive feature of this institute is that their additives are produced on domestic microorganisms that were isolated from different regions of Belarus, and therefore are highly effective," Roman Golovchenko noted. "Therefore, feed additives and additives for improving the physiological processes of animals during feeding are a very important topic. It is important that we are working on them and have good results."
Next is medicine. "There are very serious developments, and in the near future we expect the completion of tests on revolutionary drugs for the treatment of very important diseases. I hope that they will be successful," the Prime Minister noted.
The third area is scientific and practical cooperation with the flagship of the biotechnology industry - the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation. "Very important work is underway to create our own strains of microorganisms that are used in the production of biotechnological preparations at this enterprise.
