The main field work was completed by specialists from the Gudogai KSUP, in the Ostrovets district of the Grodno region. This year has been difficult for local farmers. Nevertheless, even from a difficult situation, the company’s team came out with honor. With what indicators does the Gudogai KSUP finish the next season? - in the report of our correspondent.

The agricultural town of Mali is located a few kilometers from the first nuclear city in the history of Belarus - Ostrovets. This neighborhood, however, is practically not felt. A quiet rural life flows in the agricultural town. Speaking about the harvesting campaign, the HEAD of the Gudogai KSUP Eduard Sadovsky states: stubble harvest 2023 turned out to be one of the most difficult in recent years. The reason is the weather.

- In the spring we noted frosts, which were replaced by severe drought. In fact, the ground was completely dry for two months. Of course, this affected our work. I would like to thank the employees who made every effort to organize the harvest .

The gross grain harvest in weight after processing was just over 15 thousand tons. The farmers also collected over 2.5 thousand tons of rapeseed. SUGAR beet harvesting has been completed . it was possible to procure more than 4 thousand tons. In addition, about 1.5 thousand tons of potatoes were harvested.

- I would like to note that the Gudogai KSUP is an elite farm for grain crops and potatoes. Every year we produce and sell about a thousand tons of various seeds. Naturally, we fully provide for our own needs. This is a priority task for us,” says Eduard Sadovsky.

All this became possible not only thanks to the efforts of the workers, but also to a good material and technical base. The company annually replenishes its fleet of equipment with several new units. We are talking about tractors, combines, and other necessary units.

- We are trying to develop and move forward. We understand perfectly well that in modern conditions it is necessary to make non-standard decisions. Only in this case can we talk about development,” the head of the Gudogai KSUP is confident.

True, not this year, but 2024 . Yes, now local farmers are actively preparing for sowing spring crops. Winter crops , by the way, have been sown for a long time.

- Now our workers are preparing equipment and other units so that in the spring they will be fully equipped. From the outside it may seem that nothing happens on agricultural farms in winter. Of course, the work is not as intense as in spring and autumn, but there are a lot of worries, says Eduard Sadovsky.

In total, the company employs almost 450 people. The team is close-knit, and management makes efforts to make everyone feel comfortable and confident.

- A person must understand: one can and should work in agriculture. In addition, our region is special - the proximity of a nuclear power plant affects it. We are trying to provide workers with housing. Several apartments were bought especially for them in the regional center. “We also have our own hotel-type dormitory,” notes the DIRECTOR of the enterprise.

There is a collective agreement for employees, according to which they receive additional payments for holidays and round-the-clock dates. And very soon farmers will celebrate their professional holiday - Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers.

- Let’s allow ourselves to relax a little for one day. However, then we will get down to business again with a vengeance. Ensuring the country's food security is an important matter. And we are trying to make our contribution,” concluded Eduard Sadovsky.

The construction of new capacities for the enterprise is a strategic task. First of all, we are talking about livestock complexes. After all, it is the dairy industry that provides tangible profits. Over the past few years, two new facilities have appeared in the Gudogai KSUP.

“The Smilgi dairy complex has undergone big changes in 2021,” continues the manager. - Once upon a time there was an old farm here , which was annexed to our enterprise. Naturally, we wanted to update it. Today it is a modern complex that meets the highest quality standards.

There are several hundred dairy cows at MTC. In total, the number of cattle at the enterprise is over 10.6 thousand, of which more than three thousand are milking herds.

- A few weeks ago we put into operation a new complex near the village of Kernany. There will be about 600 head of dairy cattle there. This is a great help for us, but at the same time it is an obligation. Working with animals is not easy. At any time of the day or night, regardless of the weather, cows need to be provided with decent care.

That is why they try to hire only motivated specialists. They place a special emphasis on young personnel.

- Let's be honest: young people are actively moving to the cities. Using our own example, we show that you can successfully realize yourself in agriculture, while earning a decent living. Our guys know one simple truth: if you work honestly and efficiently, then the work will be paid decently, says the director of the Gudogai KSUP.

The enterprise has its own cafe "Eden". During the hot sowing or harvesting season, it supplies village workers with hot and nutritious meals. Farm workers note the high quality of the dishes - no worse than in many metropolitan establishments.

MEAT and dairy production accounts for about 78% of the structure of sold products. From January to September 2023

The company produced 20,809 tons of MILK. Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 111%. And the average milk yield per cow during the same time was 6,787 kg of milk.
