November 10, MINSK. Novelties and hits of the Belarusian food industry were presented today, on the Day of the Belgospischeprom Concern, at the world exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai, BelTA learned from the press service of the concern.

"High quality, affordability and environmental friendliness - all this is the Made in Belarus brand. Belarusian enterprises presented novelties and hits of the domestic food industry, as well as exclusive products, taking into account the characteristics of the region. Especially for consumers from the Middle East, they brought chocolates and figures in the shape of a camel, chips flavored with chili and lime, kebab, SALT and vinegar, coconut MILK and nut drinks, hookah tobacco," the press service said.

The collective exposition of the concern brought together the leading enterprises of the industry: Spartak, Slodych, Kommunarka, Krasny Pischevik, Gamma Vkusa, Gorodeya SUGAR Plant, Minsk Sparkling Wine Factory, Minsk Crystal, Minsk Margarine Plant, Tobacco Factory " Neman".

“There are already eight agreements in the portfolio of the concern, great interest has been shown in our products,” said Alexander Yakovchits, deputy chairman of the Belgospischeprom concern. “We see that Expo 2020 is a platform of opportunities. The whole world competes here, and we are proud of that our products are in demand and recognizable. We have already made the first deliveries worth $0.5 million to the countries of the Persian Gulf. We see great interest in confectionery, baby food, rapeseed oil. I am sure that this forum will give us an additional impetus in developing the markets of the Middle East and North Africa."

The guests of the Belarusian pavilion were able to get acquainted with the food potential of the country and taste the products of the concern's enterprises.

"Today we have a good opportunity to communicate live with food producers from Belarus. We have negotiated with many factories, including confectionery and canning factories. We hope for good cooperation with Belarusian manufacturers. We already have successful experience of cooperation with the concern's enterprise, and today we have signed a new agreement with another confectionery company," Bright Act Middle East said.

A part of the business program for the Belarusian delegation will be a visit to the Dubai Food Tech Valley and negotiations with partners from the Middle East region.
