July 28, Minsk. What machines and software for agriculture are created by Belarusian scientists, at a press conference "New agro-industrial technologies: the contribution of Belarusian scientists to the development of agriculture" said Nikolay Bakach, BelTA has learned.

Therefore, we are actively working in in this direction, and we already have good results,” said the deputy head of the NPC.

Scientists have developed an online application in which separate modules are formed for forecasting weather conditions, forming optimal transport routes, taking into account the costs of material resources, and much more. According to the deputy general director, this application is in the public domain and can be used absolutely free of charge.

"Also, together with programmers, we have created software for an optical system for recognizing substandard potato tubers. This system allows you to improve both the technological process of sorting potatoes and reduce manual labor costs. So far, the system recognizes only external defects, but we are working to ensure that it Another of our joint developments is the creation of an apple sorting line, where a distinctive feature is the use of an optical sorter, which subsequently decides whether to dump this apple into waste or not, "said the scientist.

Speaking about plans for the future, Nikolai Bakach noted that, together with scientists from other institutes, it is planned to develop an automated platform that will be equipped with various attachments, a control system and will carry out all technological operations, which will reduce the physical burden on a person.

"Also, the scientists of the National Academy of Sciences, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Ministry of Industry, developed a system of advanced machines and equipment for the implementation of efficient technologies for the production and primary processing of the main types of crop and livestock products for 2021-2025 and for the period up to 2030. A distinctive feature of this technique is that in it takes into account the natural and climatic conditions of the territory of the republic for the conduct and mechanization of agricultural production.Since in the context of the regions of the country there is a fairly significant variation in the structures of sown areas, which is reflected in the volumes, methods and terms of field work, as well as the intensity of the use of various groups of machines and equipment", - summed up the deputy general director.
