Unsafe sweets and rosettes were sold in the Vitebsk region

January 23, Vitebsk. Gosstandart banned the import and circulation in the country of unsafe sweets and rosettes that were sold in the Vitebsk region. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the inspectorate of the State Standard for the region.

Specialists identified unsafe goods during unscheduled inspections in January. We are talking about three names of products, the validity of documents on conformity assessment of which has been terminated.

Russian-made sweets were banned. Caramel "Montpensier candy in sugar" did not meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union in terms of food safety and labeling. The packaging did not indicate that the product contained a dye. At the same time, natural dyes were declared as part of the caramel, and the dye tartrazine (E102) was found in it. The manufacturer had to indicate the presence of a dye on the product, which can have a negative impact on the activity and attention of the child.

The import and circulation of the Kinder MILK slice cake was also banned, the labeling of which did not contain mandatory information about the full composition of the product. The product actually contains a food additive preservative - sorbic acid. The composition of multicomponent products was also not indicated: white chocolate, condensed milk and MT margarine.

The requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union did not meet the Turkish-made single socket outlets of the IEK trademark. As it turned out, the product is not sufficiently resistant to external influencing factors; when using it, there is a risk during overloads, emergency modes and failures. Other inconsistencies were also recorded.
