MINSK . In Tehran on July 31, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeenko and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the House of Representatives.

Belarus on taking office and an invitation to visit our country on an official visit at any time convenient for him. 
“Belarus is a reliable and long-standing partner of Iran,” the Chairman of the House of Representatives emphasized. “We have more than 30 years of experience in diplomatic relations. We share common principles, such as the desire to build a multipolar world, the inviolability of state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, equal interaction." 
Igor Sergeenko informed Masoud Pezeshkian about the Republic of Belarus receiving the status of a full member of the SCO. 
“The further strengthening of multilateral and bilateral political interaction for the benefit of our peoples will be served by the implementation of the roadmap for comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Iran for 2023-2026, signed during the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to Tehran in March last year,” noted Igor Sergeenko. 
According to the Chairman of the House of Representatives, there are all the prerequisites for developing mutual trade even more intensively. “The Republic of Belarus is ready to supply world-quality products at competitive prices, including 
poultry and 
beef , 
MILK powder , agricultural, truck, quarry and bus equipment. Iran also has goods that are in demand on the Belarusian market,” he emphasized. In this regard, the parties touched upon the issue of continuing the activities of the mixed Belarusian-Iranian commission on economic cooperation. 
“We consider the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran as one of the significant factors contributing to the expansion of Belarusian-Iranian trade and economic cooperation,” noted Igor Sergeenko and informed the President of Iran that our country has ratified this agreement.   
The importance of developing humanitarian cooperation was also emphasized at the meeting. “Science, education and healthcare help establish direct ties. Public diplomacy has always been and remains an important resource for strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between our peoples,” said Igor Sergeenko.
