
The Global Dairy Trade (GDT) index showed a slight increase at the last auction.
The last auction - event 281 - ended on Tuesday, April 6, with the growth of the GDT price index by 0.3%. The auction lasted two hours and 15 minutes, 169 bidders participated.
In total, 25,104 tons of products were sold during the day.
Key Findings:
Anhydrous milk fat index up 0.8%, average price $ 6,209 per ton Butter index up 2.0%, average price $5,776 per ton Dry buttermilk index up 17.6%, average price $3,710 USD per ton Cheddar index up 2.2%, average price USD 4,393 per ton Lactose index down 6.5%, average price USD 1307 per ton COM index up 0.6%, average price 3 367 US dollars per ton; Whey powder index not available, average price not available WMS index unchanged, average price $4,085/tThe Dry Buttermilk Index was by far the sharpest gain of the day, climbing 17.6%.
The lactose index fell 6.5%.
Other price indexes remained relatively stable, recording modest gains, with cheddar, butter, anhydrous milkfat and skimmed milk powder gaining 2.2%, 2%, 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively.
